Language Data Engineer, Nyonic

• Master degree in computer science or a related subject
• A passion for data and its application to advanced AI technologies
• Extensive experience in language data work
• Good knowledge of machine learning
• Proven programming skills
• Extensive experience with scripting in Python and/or R
• Knowledge of Java and/or Scala
• Experience with big-data technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark
• Experience with cloud technologies such as MS Azure or AWS
• Familiarity with software engineering practices, such as version control (Git), and containerization systems (Kubernetes, Docker, containerd)
• Experience in successful team work
• Good spoken and written communication and presentation skills in English

Desirable

• This job is dedicated to the analysis, processing and administration of large volumes of language data in many languages and formats coming from various sources
• These data are needed for training and testing of large language models and specific applications based on such models
• The job also involves the creation of data pipelines for the various data workflows
• A further task is the appropriate administration of the data including the creation of a technical base for such administration
• Analysis of language data as to contents, languages, registers, genres, provenience, redundancy, quality and compliance with regulatory demands
• Processing of data with the aim of improving, filtering, sorting, repackaging, reformatting, repurposing or relocating them
• Implementation and improvement of one or several data pipelines for the data workflows
• Administration of data in various formats and for various purposes according to demands of accessibility, security, transparency and interoperability
