- Comfort with ambiguity. You’re always learning and growing, and can help bring clarity to a fast-moving problem space with more questions than answers
- Expertise in Figma. Bonus points for skills in animated prototype and building/maintaining design system components
- A love of music (listening, exploring, making) is a huge plus
What the job involves
- We’re hiring a Product Designer to craft amazing experiences across platforms and help define the future of music
- You will primarily drive end-to-end designs for our web app on desktop and mobile, but you’ll have a hand in other surfaces as well
- We want to craft the world’s best app for creating and listening to music, from each major user flow to the smallest minutiae of the interaction design
- Elevate the design of our web and mobile app experience across platforms because we love wearing a lot of hats
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Data, and basically everyone else because you know the best ideas can come from anywhere
- Hold an incredibly high standard for quality and craft. You care about the little details (pixel-perfection, microinteractions, motion design) that add up to excellence
- Innovate. We aim to push the boundaries of UI and UX without losing sight of the user and what would be intuitive and engaging for them
Our take
Suno is a company leveraging AI for music creation, attempting to make it accessible to everyone, regardless of their musical background. The platform allows users to generate complete songs by inputting text prompts, breaking down the barriers that traditionally separate amateurs from professional musicians.
Unlike other AI music tools, Suno focuses on ease-of-use, enabling even those with no music theory knowledge to produce professional-sounding songs. This approach has already attracted a diverse user base, including everyday people and GRAMMY-winning artists.
Whether the vision sits comfortably with the wider music community is another matter. For many, AI-generated music still raises ethical questions around ownership and the value of human artistry. But with investors continuing to back Suno with hundreds of millions of dollars, it's clear they believe AI music is here to stay.
