What the job involves
- We are looking for a Sr. Marketing Associate to serve as a key support pillar for our growth via broker distribution
- In this role, you will help brokers understand why Sana is a unique industry disruptor while ensuring that once a company joins, their administrators and members have the high-quality onboarding materials they need to get the most out of their plans
- Reporting to the VP of Product and Marketing, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Design, and Rev Ops to turn priorities into effective collateral and campaigns
- If you thrive in variety, love turning complex jargon-filled concepts into clear language, and enjoy driving impact through high-quality execution, we’d love to meet you
- Serve as Sana’s go-to marketing writer, with a strong point of view on voice, clarity, and effectiveness
- Write persuasive, conversion-oriented copy and develop brand-forward storytelling content (e.g., broker-focused outreach, LinkedIn outreach, landing pages, emails, case studies, pitch decks, etc.)
- Own the day-to-day execution of Sana’s social and digital presence, from ideation to delivery of engaging social content
- Coordinate and support virtual and in-person events and webinars in partnership with Sales by owning email campaigns, collaborating on content, and supporting logistics
- Stay curious and accountable by running tests to optimize campaigns and tracking and reporting on performance results
- Drive cross-functional execution with a strong “ship it” mindset, serving as a key stakeholder who coordinates content and asset creation end-to-end across stakeholders, designers, Sales, and external partners
- Partner marketing, healthcare, or compliance related marketing is a plus!

Health insurance benefits are essential for employers to remain competitive. But it can be difficult for small businesses to offer high-quality benefits at a reasonable rate, and without paying for things they don't need. Sana Benefits provides self-financed health insurance benefit plans which allow small businesses to pick and choose the services that they offer.
The company aims to provide options that are more affordable to small businesses than the insurance giants of the US. For example, Sana touts partnerships with Meditech startups such as Beam for dental coverage and Calm for mental wellness, and has intelligently partnered with small medical businesses and insurance startups.
Following investment from some top names in insurtech, the company has pursued expansion into new states and is set to be an industry leader. The economic situation caused a round of layoffs early in 2023, but Sana Benefits has remained positive - stating that by "re-orienting", it will be able to deliver on its mission well into the future.
