What the job involves

In the Music Mission, we build the tools and services that enable creators to express themselves, promote their work, and connect with fans
Discovery Mode is a key promotional tool that helps artists, labels, and licensors grow their audience while maintaining a high-quality listener experience
You’ll join the Bonfire team, where we focus on building the entire end-to-end campaign booking experience, from intuitive frontend interfaces to the backend services that power them
As a member of the Bonfire team, you’ll own the full lifecycle of campaign management tools, ensuring that the flow—from the first click to the final execution—is seamless, reliable, and scalable
Build backend services that power campaign booking and management flows
Design and develop APIs that support campaign creation and execution
Work closely with product and design to bring new features to life
Improve system scalability, performance, and reliability
Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture through code reviews and knowledge sharing
Help evolve our architecture as we grow and scale

Our take

Spotify was founded in an attempt to combat the rampant music piracy that was causing significant harm to the industry. The company has since taken music streaming mainstream and now has 180m+ paying subscribers across the world.

With features that include a highly accessible interface and a vast catalogue of artists, Spotify's strong brand has been able to maintain growth in spite of fierce competition from deep-pocketed rivals like Amazon and Apple. The company has achieved this by making smart acquisitions to move into other verticals to strengthen its offerings, especially podcasting, by acquiring Gimlet Media, Anchor and Parcast.
