Software Engineer, Planet

• The ideal candidate would have full-stack experience, with experience owning frontend on a project
• This role will appeal to candidates with a positive attitude with excitement about Planet’s mission
• 4+ years industry experience
• Expertise developing in Go or Python
• Full stack application development experience (Database, Services, Web)
• Experience building orchestration workflows preferably with Temporal (temporal.io)
• Experience owning and transforming modern front end codebases
• Fluency in Golang, Python, Postgresql, & React or related technologies
• Proven cross-functional collaboration skills (Product & Design)
• Experience scaling and maintaining production systems

• The Defense and Intelligence pod is looking for a full-stack software engineer who will be responsible for building systems and integrating with our federal customers
• In this role, you will work with multiple internal teams to build our next generation integration platform that will drive our next decade of growth
• Your work will be highly visible and will directly impact the ability of customers to get faster access to Planet’s unprecedented datasets as well as streamline the internal processes for adding new customers to our platform
• Build and maintain integration tools which serve our enterprise and federal customers
• Manage architecture and ensure availability of services
• Fortify our deployment pipeline and production service monitoring capabilities
• Help to define, create and analyze usage metrics to drive customer growth
• Participate in team on-call rotation to support production services
