Role
Who you are
- Ideally, we are looking for someone with a technical background (machine learning/computer vision/graphics) with experience delivering complex software engineering projects
- You have a track record of providing program management support during all phases of software development
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills, building solid relationships with stakeholders and teams around the organization
- You are proficient with the intricacies of the Atlassian suite (Jira, confluence), creating and deploying workflows to improve internal communications
- You have demonstrated the ability to build and maintain an internal process to deliver successful projects
- You have a solid technical background with working knowledge of Python, C++ and machine learning fundamentals
What the job involves
- This role will work closely with engineering, computer graphics content, and sales to build and manage internal processes to ensure that we are shipping on time and within the scope
- This is an exciting time to join our team as we look to scale our offerings to help power computer vision applications
- Running our Sprint Rituals: Create processes so we run high energy scrum processes (daily standup, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retros etc..)
- Project Management: Define projects, collect requirements, develop detailed implementation plans, maintain alignment, and monitor status across multiple activities to reduce or remove dependencies
- Delivery: Establish and maintain our internal processes to perform QA, testing and triage. Work closely with our field team to ensure successful customer by creating release notes and other technical documentation
Our take
Autonomous vehicles are fast making the leap from science fiction to reality. However, there are huge safety implications that need to be addressed. Parallel Domain has developed software for training autonomous vehicles in a virtual setting, reducing the risks associated with real-world testing and giving vehicle manufacturers the ability to identify problems and put them right, before the vehicle ever hits the road.
Founded in 2017, Parallel Domain leverages synthetic data to train and test the vision and perception systems for AVs. Clients can customise training environments with parameters such as weather, lighting, and distribution of agents, allowing them to model specific situations, including rare ones that would be unlikely to occur in real-world training. This results in AIs that behave better and more safely in novel situations.
Parallel Domain has seen significant investment that will fuel operational expansion and increase business reach. With the value of synthetic data quickly becoming apparent, the company is positioned well to benefit from those wishing to train their autonomous vehicle AIs faster and more efficiently.
