Who you are
- 6 years of related work experience in software engineering teams either as an engineer or product / project owner
- Strong interest in Data and Machine Learning
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science or related technical field or equivalent
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Experience developing professional products and technologies
Desirable
- MS, MBA or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related technical field or equivalent
- 2 years experience with Data and Machine Learning or Experience with product management or product design with a focus on software products and technologies
- Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, UI, sales, customer support, finance or marketing
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills
What the job involves
- Dataiku is looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to support the evolution of its Data Science Platform. The position is available in France, United Kingdom, Germany, or the Netherlands
- In this role, the TPM is responsible for the definition of user stories in alignment with market requirements, the prioritized product backlog and coordinating features delivery
- The role requires a good balance of technical skills and business acumen in order to represent the Dataiku customers within engineering
- Dataiku is a young company with great momentum and at this early stage, the TPM will work cross-functionally with Product Management, Data Science, Engineering, and Marketing
- We’re looking for someone who can express passion for the new technologies and possibilities of Big Data and Advanced Analytics
- In this role, you will report directly to the VP Engineering
- Be the undisputed expert on product capabilities for your product area
- Collaborate closely with the product management team to build the backlog and prioritize the next features
- Own the product backlog. Defining and prioritizing the backlog with product stakeholders and engineering leaders
- Define user stories and specifications
- Create internal documentation about the new features: feature deck, internal demo videos…
- Follow up on the development of the features
- Participate in building the roadmap
- Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to create the content about new features
