Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in a Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations role at a B2B SaaS company; direct experience with deal desk is preferred
- Extreme attention to detail: you can spot a miscalculated price or a broken workflow and are driven to resolve it
- Strong analytical chops: you're fluent in spreadsheets and energized by digging into deal data to extract insights that inform pricing decisions
- Sound commercial judgment: you balance deal velocity with pricing discipline, and you know how to say no while keeping the trust of the sales team
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce is essential; experience with CPQ or quoting tools is a plus
- You’re curious and motivated to learn new tools — you've experimented with AI in your work or on your own, you're excited about what's possible, and you've built something with it (an application, a workflow, a creative solution to a real problem) that you can walk us through
What the job involves
- We're looking for a Deal Desk Manager to own the commercial engine behind every Anrok deal. As the primary partner to our sales team on deal structuring, pricing, and approvals, you'll help get deals across the finish line quickly and cleanly—and use what you learn from our deal data to make every future deal smarter
- This is a high-visibility role at the center of Anrok's revenue engine
- In this role, you will
- Own our Deal Desk function end-to-end—deal structuring, pricing and discount approvals, quoting, and order forms—helping our sales team close deals faster
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Account Executives and Account Managers on non-standard deals, advising on pricing, terms, and contract options with speed and sound judgment
- Design and refine pricing guardrails and approval workflows so standard deals move fast and exceptions get the right level of scrutiny
- Analyze deal data—discounting patterns, pricing trends, win/loss signals—to sharpen our pricing guidance and give GTM leadership visibility into what's working
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and GTM Systems to keep the quote-to-cash process accurate and audit-ready, from first quote through billing handoff
- Build the playbook: document pricing scenarios, approval criteria, and deal processes that make the sales team faster and more self-sufficient
Our take
Software is becoming an increasingly taxable enterprise, in increasingly nuanced and jurisdiction-specific ways thanks to new rulings in the late 2010s. SaaS companies need to keep track of both their physical and economic nexuses, leaving many companies scrambling to stay compliant. Anrok has developed a simple API-based solution to help companies get there.
Anrok's no-code, out-of-the-box tool helps businesses easily calculate sales tax monitoring, calculation, and remittance wherever their product is used, and easily identify new exposures. It’s a simple solution to a complex problem, and the result for Anrok has been impressive funding and strong growth in the short few years it’s been in operation.
This will in part be thanks to the company’s astute pricing model: much like SaaS businesses themselves, it’s based on demand. This makes it scalable enough to encompass both smaller and enterprise SaaS clients. This, in turn, means Anrok’s addressable market within the SaaS sector is substantial. And that’s a sector that in itself is continuing to see remarkable growth. All this makes it a promising, and as of yet fairly unchallenged, position that Anrok is carving out.
