Our take
C1 is an identity security company that helps IT and security teams by automating privileges and compliance. It automates identity security, thus enabling companies to understand what is happening across their operations and what actions could impact someone’s program access permissions.
Originally know as ConductorOne, the company rebranded in 2026. This change accompanied the broadening of its platform to address identity governance for AI tools and agents. Regarding the past success of its Access Request product - which saved IT teams the time they would spend provisioning - we expect this extension to bring similar value to C1's clients.
C1 is well-funded, having raised substantial investment from the likes of GreyCroft and CrowdStrike. This has supported the company in accelerating growth and scaling operations, and gave it a solid foundation from which to address what identity looks like in the post-AI for business era.
