What the job involves
- The Account Executive (Demand Sales) position at ezCater is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a fast-growing, high-performing sales organization!
- Your role will be to qualify users, fully diagnose their current process and challenges, and consultatively demonstrate how ezCater can serve as their all inclusive solution for catering
- . In addition, you’ll leverage relationships and identify potential growth opportunities to further expand adoption of ezCater to non-existent users via our Referral / Word of Mouth process
- We’ll provide tools and training, while you’ll couple influential sales techniques with our strong message to sell ezCater’s 4.8-star service
- You’ll be expected to run a well-managed, high-volume pipeline while keeping your forecast current and accurate
- Build, develop, and manage an accurate pipeline
- Make a high volume of daily outbound calls in order to quickly and efficiently qualify and educate users
- Quickly identify specific customer profiles in the moment — and tailor your conversation accordingly
- Thoroughly document your process in our CRM to maintain a clean and functional pipeline
- Work as a consultative partner to guide prospects through their first order
- Provide engaging demonstrations that show users how to best utilize our platform
- Quickly uncover and diagnose the needs and pain points of individual user
- Educate users on specific insights and best practices for how to maximize the functionality of our Corporate Solutions to meet their individual and company needs
- Practice exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborate with others to drive ongoing improvements to our current process
Our take
ezCater is an online marketplace app that provides catering options for businesses, working with food providers who enter their menus onto the app for customers to browse. ezCater sends each store its orders and handles customer service while the food providers fulfil the orders.
ezCater profits by charging a small commission on all orders that restaurants fulfil. The company counts JLL, RingCentral and the San Francisco 49ers among its customers. It previously fuelled expansion through acquisitions such as online catering platform GoCater in 2018 and MonkeySoft Solutions in 2019.
ezCater has enjoyed strong growth so far, in part by focusing on meal deliveries to a growing hybrid workforce as an employee benefit. It has been eyeing an IPO for some time, though these plans are yet to come to fruition. In the meantime, it has continued to develop its technology and unveiled a new supplier diversity program to uplift small businesses owned by underrepresented groups.
