Who you are
- A visionary and strategic problem solver who enjoys quickly learning about new business models, building relationships, and educating brands on growth opportunities
- Strong financial acumen, with experience developing financial models and custom projections to assess profitability and performance
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, influencing strategy, and presenting both executive-level and execution-focused recommendations
- Proficient in analyzing e-commerce performance, identifying key metric drivers, and making data-backed strategic recommendations
- Ability to engage and collaborate with technical teams, understanding digital product capabilities and effectively incorporating them into business strategies
- Passionate about the retail industry, resale, and sustainability, staying up-to-date on trends in the space

- Mission-driven, with a strong belief in the impact of resale in reducing waste and driving sustainable commerce
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, retail management, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in consulting, e-commerce, business operations, or other strategic roles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders
- Highly analytical, with proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Hex, Looker) and Google Analytics, as well as experience building custom financial models
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities, with experience taking a concept from analysis and strategy to project planning, execution, and performance review
- Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects, requests, and priorities simultaneously
- Deep understanding of e-commerce retail operations, with experience in apparel, accessories, or consumer goods industries

- You will act as a strategic advisor, using financial modeling to prove the profitability of programs, aligning them with revenue targets, and enhancing the overall branded resale experience
- Join an exciting and fast-growing Brand Success team! As a Brand Success Director, you will be responsible for driving growth and profitability for a focused group of brands by engaging deeply with their internal teams and decision makers
- Serve as a visionary leader and trusted advisor to brand partners, helping to optimize their resale business through strategic insights, financial modeling, and data-driven recommendations while proving the ROI of various initiatives
- Exceed quarterly/annual NDR targets by selling the business case for resale within brands organizations and driving upsell opportunities in collaboration with Sales
- Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth, ensuring programs meet or exceed profitability targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a focused group of brands through structured communication and strategic planning
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to implement improvements that enhance the brand experience and drive business growth
- Ensure a seamless and positive experience for brand partners, bringing in key members of the Archive team as needed
- Lead cross-functional initiatives, structuring complex projects into actionable plans, deliverables, and execution strategies
- Advocate for resale as a key revenue driver and marketing channel for brand partners
- Travel occasionally for in-person collaboration and brand engagements
Our take
The secondhand fashion market is growing faster than ever due to increased consumer awareness of the positive impact it has on sustainability. However, the sale of pre-loved clothes almost always takes place on third-party marketplaces, preventing brands from capitalizing on second-hand sales and intercepting fake item sales.
Archive develops online marketplaces for brands to facilitate the resale of second-hand items, allowing them to capitalize on the growing second-hand fashion market whilst regulating the legitimacy of such sales. The marketplaces developed by the company are integrated directly within existing first-hand online stores, ensuring that brand loyalists purchase and sell directly through the brand without using external secondhand marketplaces.
Whilst platforms such as eBay, Depop, and Etsy facilitate the resale of preloved fashion items, Archive recognizes that they prevent brands from earning revenue and can lead to the sale of fake products. With 2022 funding behind it, Archive is contributing to an industry set to grow at a rate of between 10 and 15 percent a year over the next decade, and its offering to secondhand fashion markets is strong, legitimizing the sale of preloved products, and advocating for a more sustainable fashion industry.
