Who you are

Prior experience with container-based workloads (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
Experience with open-source contributions is a plus
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar programming language
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Collaboration: Ability to work independently and effectively within a remote team
Location: Ideally based in Germany and currently enrolled as a student. Other applications will also be considered

What the job involves

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Working Student (m/f/d) to join our growing product development team
In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing our managed Kubernetes offering
Package cloud-native tools for the Giant Swarm App Platform using Helm
Build, improve, and test Kubernetes controllers written in Go
Collaborate with App Engineers to improve the stability, security, and performance of these tools
Write and execute automated tests to ensure the quality of our offerings
Improve operations through dashboards, alerts, and logging. Automate updates and improve usability
Write technical documentation to enable seamless customer adoption
Explore and experiment with new technologies and contribute to open-source projects
Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes and cloud-native applications
Work closely with experienced engineers and receive valuable guidance and support, combined with a dedicated onboarding process
Assistance and support with your Bachelors/Masters Thesis
Enjoy the flexibility of a remote working environment
