Who you are
- Prior experience with container-based workloads (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
- Experience with open-source contributions is a plus
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar programming language
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Collaboration: Ability to work independently and effectively within a remote team
- Location: Ideally based in Germany and currently enrolled as a student. Other applications will also be considered
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Working Student (m/f/d) to join our growing product development team
- In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing our managed Kubernetes offering
- Package cloud-native tools for the Giant Swarm App Platform using Helm
- Build, improve, and test Kubernetes controllers written in Go
- Collaborate with App Engineers to improve the stability, security, and performance of these tools
- Write and execute automated tests to ensure the quality of our offerings
- Improve operations through dashboards, alerts, and logging. Automate updates and improve usability
- Write technical documentation to enable seamless customer adoption
- Explore and experiment with new technologies and contribute to open-source projects
- Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes and cloud-native applications
- Work closely with experienced engineers and receive valuable guidance and support, combined with a dedicated onboarding process
- Assistance and support with your Bachelors/Masters Thesis
- Enjoy the flexibility of a remote working environment
