Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in go-to-market, business development, or commercial strategy, within healthcare, benefits, or digital health
- Strong understanding of self-insured employer benefits strategy and decision-making processes
- Strong understanding of the employer benefits ecosystem, including large self-insured employers, brokers, TPAs, payers, etc. Familiarity with value-based care and reimbursement frameworks strongly preferred
- Experience selling into HR/Benefits leaders and employer buying committees
- Proven track record of building and closing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals from prospecting through contract execution. History of quota-carrying success
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute GTM strategies from scratch in fast-scaling or developing environments
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence C-suite stakeholders, partners, and internal teams
What the job involves
- Covera is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused leader to build and drive go-to-market efforts specifically with large self-insured employers. In this role, you will scale our employer channel, grow revenue, and help shape solutions that directly meet employer needs
- The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, is energized by building from scratch, and is equally comfortable engaging C-suite executives and building a pipeline from scratch
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with large self-insured employers
- Own the full sales cycle with employer clients, from outreach through contracting and launch
- Build strong relationships with employer stakeholders, including HR, Benefits, Total Rewards, Finance, and executive leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employers on healthcare quality, cost management, and employee outcomes
- Partner with Product, Clinical, and Analytics teams to align employer needs with Covera’s offerings
- Shape messaging and materials tailored to employer value propositions (cost savings, outcomes, employee experience)
- Provide direct employer market feedback to inform product development and pricing
- Represent Covera at employer-focused events and industry forums
Our take
Covera Health's study of advanced imaging technology found complex diagnoses to have error rates of 30% or more. Their answer has been to develop powerful AI-powered analytics tools to assist radiology providers in improving diagnostic accuracy, thereby reducing patient harm and healthcare expense.
It is a promising area in which to develop and deploy AI tools. Covera benefits from cloud-based access to medical records stretching back over a decade, and millions of associated data points, to refine and train their error recognition software.
Moreover, Covera is tapping into an expanding market. Not only do they serve providers in all 50 US states, they’re specializing in a niche area of a market that is expected to reach just over $80 billion by the end of 2026. Healthcare analytics is expected to revolutionize the field over the next few years, and Covera is positioning itself as a strategically specialized player.
