Role
Who you are
- Expert knowledge of modern syntax Typescript and React
- Experience working with observability tools to track application health (Sentry)
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Excellent understanding of the complete software development life cycle
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to team members and stakeholders
- Passionate about testing, rapid iteration and collaborative problem solving. (e2e, unit tests, integration tests)
- A demonstrated interest in providing mentorship and advice to others in your team
Desirable
- An interest and aptitude in data visualisation, transforming complex datasets into intuitive visual representations
- Skills in User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design, demonstrating a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to user journeys
- Any experience working with frontend mono-repos (TurboRepo, Nx)
- Experience building and distributing component libraries using modern tooling (Storybook, Chromatic)
- Experience working with CI/CD integrations
What the job involves
- We are now hiring for an experienced and motivated Senior React Developer to join our growing development team
- In this role, you will implement user interface components using modern React best practices, ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain
- Uphold a high level of quality throughout the front-end codebase, through the delivery of new features and keen-eyed PR reviews
- Aid in the planning and delivery of impactful architecture decisions
- Proactively identify and address areas of technical debt which may block the wider front-end team
- Identify performance bottlenecks through quantifiable analysis and implement performance improvement strategies
- Mentoring other team members, sharing knowledge and experience, and helping improve our team's abilities in the process
- Work closely with the design and UX teams to ensure the components you build adhere to specifications and modern accessibility standards
