Who you are
- Relevant Post Grad education and Professional Certification
- Minimum ten years of leadership, change and operational management experience in P&C insurance
- Program and change delivery experience
- A deep understanding of the risks inherent in delivering an organizational change
What the job involves
- This role is responsible for developing and executing the strategy to drive projects and programs within Distribution, whether Distribution led or led out of the LOB
- Developing and managing a structured change and deployment program of Aviva initiatives to market
- The ‘Voice of the Broker / Partner’ – ensuring the needs of external stakeholders are fully considered in the vision, design, build and implementation of Aviva change initiatives
- Responsible for broker change frameworks and impact assessments as an input to design, build and deployment
- Ensure Aviva change integrates effectively with Broker / Partner business process and platforms, including BMS systems
- Understand and build relationships with BMS providers to facilitate integration
- Contribute to the build of business and investment cases – ensuring Distribution play a full and accountable role in subsequent benefit delivery
- Design and oversight of Aviva’s remuneration strategy, appetite and governance and operational processes, including contracting and regulatory compliance
- Management of Remco committee oversight and processes
- Responsible for building the Broker Training Strategy and deliver effective PI and SME training to drive desired business outcomes
- Leads a team responsible for the development and implementation of risk management processes and procedures within Business Development

Into the 2010s, the insurance broker was forced to restructure and close a large number of its non-core businesses in a bid to increase its shareholder returns and streamline its focus. In 2012 it sold its US wing to Athene Holding to further this goal.
Now stripped back after sell-offs of subsidiaries in Indonesia, Italy, and many more countries, Aviva is refocusing on pensions. In the wake of a Pensions Dashboard Programme delay in the UK, Aviva is in the running to take over the programme thanks to its pre-existing private systems. This exemplifies Aviva’s renewed focus on the fintech sector, all whilst playing national analyst during the cost of living crisis thanks to its annual Age of Ambiguity study.
