The COVID-19 pandemic has put the UK’s NHS healthcare system under significant pressure, causing waiting lists and bottlenecks within facilities such as pharmacies. Patients often must be physically present at pharmacies to present documentation and collect medication, an antiquated and convoluted process that could be fixed with digital solutions.
Phlo provides an online pharmacy service that allows users to manage, order, and track medication prescriptions for rapid delivery to their homes. The platform is available as an integrated mobile application, including real-time support features such as a patient-to-GP communication system.
The NHS has already provided a prescription drug delivery service to ease bottlenecks in the system, but the end-to-end nature of Phlo presents a more convenient and integrated partnership for all patients. In addition to providing these services directly to the consumers, Phlo also works with businesses and the NHS to provide the service to employees for free, with the aim to improve health and productivity in the workplace.
