Role
Who you are
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering
- Strong experience working with revenue metrics (e.g., ARR, NRR, churn, bookings)
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex datasets
- Experience building data models and transforming business logic into scalable data pipelines (e.g., dbt, Snowflake)
- Experience working with Finance and/or RevOps teams
- Experience reconciling data across multiple systems (e.g., Salesforce, billing systems, data warehouse)
- Ability to work independently and structure ambiguous problems
- Strong communication skills and ability to align stakeholders across functions
- Experience defining or owning business-critical metrics in a B2B SaaS environment
What the job involves
- In this role, you will own the definition, calculation, and governance of key revenue metrics such as ARR, NRR, and customer metrics
- You will partner closely with Finance, RevOps, and Data Engineering teams to ensure consistent definitions, accurate calculations, and scalable data models that support company-wide reporting
- This role is critical to establishing a single source of truth for revenue metrics and enabling consistent decision-making across the organization
- You will be responsible for how revenue metrics are defined, calculated, and trusted across the company — not just reported
- Define, document, and maintain key revenue metrics (e.g., ARR, NRR, churn, bookings). Drive alignment across Finance, RevOps, and Data teams on metric definitions and usage
- Design and maintain ARR calculation logic, including handling edge cases (e.g., expansions, contractions, multi-year deals, renewals, credits). Ensure logic is transparent, scalable, and well-documented
- Translate business logic into scalable data models and transformations using modern data tools (e.g., Snowflake, dbt). Partner with Data Engineering to productionize and automate reporting workflows
- Work closely with Finance, RevOps, and GTM stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, align on definitions, and support reporting needs
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies across systems (e.g., Salesforce, billing systems, data warehouse). Support reconciliation processes and improve data reliability
- Develop dashboards and analyses that provide visibility into revenue performance and key business drivers
Our take
Feature flags are a powerful software development tool, allowing teams to modify system behavior without changing code, therefore minimizing risk. If a business has a new feature they want to test, they can then roll it out to a small set of users before letting it go live. These companies can, for example, get quick feedback on the new feature and fix any bugs, or roll back any changes.
LaunchDarkly allows companies to run tests like this by activating the new code for only a small set of users prior to launch. Typically running these tests requires lots of developer time - a daunting and expensive prospect for most rapidly growing businesses - and can risk disruption to the user experience if testing takes place on the live product.
Demonstrating its value to businesses, the platform is used by the likes of IBM, Intuit and Atlassian. Recently it has seemed to focus on further scaling its growth as it develops towards being a leading business in the feature management space.
