Who you are
- Advanced proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge in at least one of Python, Rust, JavaScript, C/C++, Java, Go, with a solid foundation in software development practices
- Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals
- Available to work evenings and weekends, as the schedule varies depending on team operational needs; flexibility is required
- Demonstrates a strong capacity to quickly adapt by learning new skills and unlearning outdated ones, thriving in dynamic and changing environments
Desirable
- 2 years of hands-on industry experience with a proven track record in software development and working with large code bases
- A high reputation on platforms like Stack Overflow

- Extensive experience with a wide array of tools and systems such as databases, SQL, Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, gRPC, AWS, etc
What the job involves
- As a Software Engineer on the Human Data team, you will be part of an elite group of software engineers responsible for improving frontier AI model capabilities on the most challenging software engineering problems
- To accomplish this, you will build, maintain and take ownership of large codebases, demonstrating how AI models should resolve complex issues
- You will work closely with the technical staff to identify blindspots in our models, and help design strategies to resolve these gaps
- We expect you to leverage your expertise in software to come up with new paradigms to evaluate frontier AI models, and at the same time learn insights into how these models are trained, and how to use them effectively
- Build, maintain and take ownership of codebases written in Python, Rust, JavaScript, C/C++, Java and Go
- Evaluate and refine AI-generated code, ensuring it adheres to industry standards for efficiency, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and refine AI-generated code
