What the job involves
- To take things to the next level, we’re looking for a curious, sharp, and driven Treasury & Capital Markets Analyst to scale our young and fast-growing Capital Markets group
- You’ll will be responsible for the structuring, implementation and management of our debt facilities as well as supporting our fund raising activities – from establishing and running our liquidity and hedging strategy, to driving our exciting long term capital market objectives, while managing our relationship with key stakeholders (lenders, investors etc)
- You’ll be assisting the Director of Capital Markets and will have a material amount of autonomy and responsibility from day one, and the opportunity to define what Capital Markets at Carmoola really means
- The Capital Markets Group works hand-in-hand with internal teams and external partners to deliver key funding and capital solutions to support Carmoola's growth
- Treasury & Liquidity Management – establish and manage strategy, manage day to day liquidity position
- Debt Facilities Management – (i) debt covenant and trigger monitoring, servicer / investor reporting, address lender questions. (ii) Amend, source, negotiate, structure and execute facilities
- Hedging – run all interest rate hedging activities
- Capital Markets strategy – assist and develop a short term and long term strategy; Monitor markets (pricing, competition, investor base); meet with banks, funds, asset managers etc
- Capital markets modelling and analysis– build models (cash flow models, dashboard etc), prepare and present ad-hoc analysis
- Equity raise – assist and prepare materials for equity raise discussions

The current car buying experience lacks clarity around pricing and cost, meaning that buyers are often unable to make informed decisions regarding financing until very late into the process. Carmoola offers a solution to this by providing speedy financing options at the start of the buying process, placing control back into customers' hands.
The company is able to offer this radically different strategy through new, innovative ways of approaching risk assessments that are geared towards transparency. Further, while other digital lenders and brokers require some phone calls and paperwork, Carmoola differentiates itself by operating entirely online for a more streamlined customer experience.
Funding has allowed the company to scale rapidly, and future plans include a continuation of this growth through new hires and development invested into its platform.
