Who you are

5+ years of experience as a full stack developer
At least 3 years of experience with React (Next.js), Node.js and TypeScript to create
Scalable web applications
Safe handling of Node.js (Preferable NestJs) and APIs (GraphQL, REST-API)
Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks (e.g. Jest or Cypress)
Familiar with database technologies such as Postgres
Proficient in code versioning with Git and working with GitHub
Fluent in spoken and written English and excellent communication and teamwork skills
Bonus Capabilities: Tailwind CSS, Postgres Database management and docker

What the job involves

Product Challenges: Making supply chains proactive to external changes requires us to monitor external changes
You develop next generation logistics applications in an agile setup
You develop concepts for our high-performance, service-oriented application landscape (e.g with nestJS, NextJs)
This all happens in collaboration with product owners, ML Team members, other developers and UX experts
You will create business Impact
Minimise inflation related impact on consumers
Make few people in logistics love their job again

Our take

Holocene is a startup focused on revolutionising trade compliance and logistics. Although it's still in the early stages, the company is already showing great potential by offering solutions that simplify and integrate the complex, ever-changing global trade regulations and policies. Something that can greatly improve the efficiency of logistics and supply chain companies.

It’s encouraging that Holocene was backed and partly incubated by Berlin-based startup company builder BEAM, as well as Beumer Group – a multinational intralogistics systems manufacturer operating in 70 countries.

While the early signs are promising for the startup, the next big steps will be to secure significant funding to scale while expanding its customer base in Germany.
