Who you are

- 15+ years of marketing experience in B2B companies, including scale-up environments with exponential growth
- Proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies in key markets: US, DACH, France, UK, Benelux
- Experience building and leading a world-class multi-disciplinary team across multiple markets
- Strong analytical skills, using data to drive informed decisions
- Skilled in rapid hypothesis development, testing, and optimization
What the job involves
- Instagrid is looking for a VP Marketing to develop and execute the company’s marketing strategy
- Being the first mover in the newly formed market of clean professional power stations, we have brought an “iPhone” moment to our early customers, and we are now aiming to expand our offering across the globe
- Pushed by the gains in productivity, safety and sustainability of our strong b2b customers base (e.g. construction or film & media), you are ready to drive brand strength and activate the marketing flywheel to efficiently convert early majority customers and achieve the next phase of exponential growth
- As the leader of Instagrid’s marketing team and core member of the company’s Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for devising and executing the full-funnel marketing strategy that fuels our growth, builds our brand and drives our business - globally
- Define and execute marketing strategies and budgets to drive global B2B growth and brand awareness
- Manage budgets and marketing activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation to maximize ROI
- Work cross-functionally to drive adoption and success of marketing plans company-wide
- Lead and develop a 20+ member team, supported by agencies and external providers
- Optimize and scale efforts, experimenting with new channels, tactics, and strategies
Our take
Combustion engines and generators are still the most common way of sourcing off-grid electricity, for example on construction sites or at events. They are, however, highly polluting - and logistically difficult to manage. Instragrid is hoping to change that, with its award-winning portable 230V batteries.
The idea is to provide an energy supply that is more portable than generators for the purposes of independent and mobile users, but also one that is free of noise and direct emissions. It’s not a new idea, though. Big-name electrical manufacturers like Bosch and Hyundai have had similar products on the market for a long time - and Instragrid does not, currently, seem able to compete on cost.
The key differentiation is that Instragrid offer the option of charging your battery with renewable power. This may prove the crucial edge in the competition. Certainly it will have helped Instragrid secure the substantial funding its won over recent years, thanks to the booming interest in sustainable tech. Most crucially for Instragrid, there’s increasing pressure to switch to renewables across all industries, especially in Europe and the US - and these markets are where Instragrid is planning to take its next steps.
