Who you are
- Proven B2B Sales experience (>1 year), ideally for more complex products in the SaaS, logistics, e-commerce, or operations space, with a track record of consistently hitting or exceeding targets
- Strong problem-solver: you’re curious, structured, and able to deeply understand customer challenges and design solutions that create real value
- Analytical & structured: You know your sales pipeline and understand what to focus on to ensure you are winning the market and hitting your goals
- Ambitious with a growth mindset: motivated by high standards, performance environments, feedback, and continuous improvement
- Team-oriented: competitive in a healthy way, supportive by nature, and eager to grow together with the people around you
- Language skills: fluent in Italian and English (written & spoken)

What the job involves
- As a Business Development Manager for Italy, you will play a key role in expanding Hive’s footprint by owning the full sales cycle across inbound and outbound opportunities
- You’ll work closely with ambitious small and medium e-commerce brands, helping them solve complex operational challenges and scale their logistics with Hive
- Own the full sales cycle end-to-end: from inbound and outbound prospecting to closing long-term partnerships with Italian SMB brands
- Build strong, trusted relationships with founders, famous influencers and operations leaders, deeply understanding their growth challenges and translating them into tailored Hive solutions
- Actively contribute to scaling Hive’s presence in Italy by refining sales playbooks, ICPs, and go-to-market messaging for the local market
- Partner closely with Marketing, Operations, and Product to continuously improve lead quality, conversion rates, and overall customer experience
- Be part of a core Italian Growth pod based in our Berlin HQ, with the opportunity to help shape the future expansion of the team and the setup of our Milan office
- You’ll be part of a diverse and international Growth team, collaborating daily with peers in Germany, France, Spain, the UK, and the Netherlands. You’ll work with some of Europe’s most exciting SMB brands and help shape how modern commerce operations scale across the continent.

Our take
Streamlining commerce operations requires the participation of various departments, which can complicate the purchase-to-delivery cycle and lead to delays. Hive’s platform helps to streamline commerce operations through a network of operations providers.
Hive’s Warehouse Management System works in tandem with its Transport Management System to organise and economise the operations of eCommerce businesses. Importantly, its network of solutions means that users can give their customers an accurate delivery date from the moment of purchase online. This leads to a better experience that can help foster loyalty and support repeat purchases.
This is an attractive proposition, especially as eCommerce begins to take over from the high street and consumer expectations continue to rise. Investors have recognised this potential in Hive, which intends to use its latest funding round to accelerate growth and product development, with the ultimate aim to reach consistent profitability soon.
