Corporate and Technical Accounting Senior Manager, Coursera

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designation
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate and/or public accounting
• Deep working knowledge of US GAAP with an ability to communicate technical accounting concepts to a variety of audiences
• Prior experience managing teams, demonstrating strong leadership and people management skills

• You will not only oversee month-end close, own the general ledger, review certain key account reconciliations and technical accounting, but also inspire and motivate stakeholders to embrace the changes that are required to move Coursera's business forward and support our complexity at scale
• Own the global monthly closing process, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, controls and the preparation of the consolidated financial statements, ensuring their integrity, accuracy, and timeliness in accordance with US GAAP
• Address technical accounting matters, including; developing, maintaining and enforcing accounting policies, writing position memos and procedures in accordance with US GAAP and other authoritative literature
• Serve as the project manager for the financial reporting process and incorporate process improvements where necessary
• Supervise a high-performing accounting team, providing coaching and support to team members to facilitate their professional growth and development
• Collaborate with various business partners across the organization, including finance, legal, product and engineering and sales to ensure alignment and facilitate issue resolution
• Work closely with internal and external auditors; preparing necessary audit schedules and addressing audit inquiries in a timely and comprehensive manner
