Who you are
- 4–8 years of product design experience
- Expert-level proficiency with Figma and prototyping tools
- Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies
- Strong ability to analyze complex user and business problems
- Experience leading design projects from concept to launch
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence decisions
- Experience designing for AI, conversational, or data-rich product surfaces is a strong plus
- You're driven by design excellence and are starting to influence through your craft
- Confident leading creative work independently
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and defining problem spaces others haven't mapped
- Motivated to elevate peers by setting a visible standard of quality
What the job involves
- At this level, you're no longer just contributing - you're driving. You own complex product areas, raise the quality of work around you, and operate with significant autonomy. You're producing judgment: making hard trade-offs, owning them, and explaining what you sacrificed and why.
- At DevRev, this means designing the communication layer of an AI-native platform - the surfaces where humans and Computer exchange meaning, where conversations carry consequence, and where the difference between a chatbot and a teammate lives in the details of interaction
- Own and execute on the design of complex features or entire product areas
- Create sophisticated user flows and elegant interaction patterns for both human and AI-driven interfaces
- Lead research initiatives to uncover deep user insights
- Identify and resolve systemic design challenges across product surfaces
- Collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and AI teams
- Mentor other designers and contribute to their growth
- Actively experiment with GenAI tools to push creative output forward

DevRev helps developers build better products for customers through a platform that connects them to the revenue their applications generate. Their headless, dev-centric CRM hopes to help developers clock technical issues faster by showing more directly how customers use their products.
When the company emerged from stealth mode in 2021, they were already well backed by considerable funding and a highly experienced leadership team. Collating and usefully displaying customer feedback for developers, especially using AI and machine learning, is a tough nut to crack. So DevRev has been savvy in front-loading talent and investment.
The founders’ previous venture Nutanix saw huge success, reaching Unicorn status before going public in 2016. DevRev and its team reached the same in 2024 off the back of Series A funding. This ambitious startup has already delivered the first iteration of what it hopes will become the largest global developer relations product.
