Python and C/C++ programming
Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts
TensorFlow Lite, Pytorch and ONNX experience
GPU model training experience

What the job involves

Motorola Solutions' Florida team is searching for an Engineering co-op student to join an advanced technology and product design team that is focused on wireless speech communications under a wide range of conditions, for demanding customers
The position is a hybrid (preferable) or remote role starting January 2026 for the winter and spring quarters
Assist in the development and optimization of machine learning models for deployment on embedded systems
Work with hardware acceleration technologies (e.g., GPUs, TPUs) to improve model training performance
Concept prototyping: Take a new AI model or design from concept to initial working model, to assess technical performance and strength of perception
Contribute to the design and implementation of efficient inference pipelines for different embedded processors
Collect and analyze data to evaluate model accuracy and performance
Collaborate with experienced engineers to solve challenging technical problems
Deploy AI models on Mobile Devices’ processors
