Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer, Planet

• 4+ years of experience in compliance within financial services
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the financial services industry
• Experience and knowledge of relevant laws and requirements (AML/CFT, sanctions, consumer protection, privacy) and managing regulatory engagements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Proven ability to work within and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, critical thinker and adept at working independently and in a dispersed team environment covering multiple and varied tasks
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written

• The Compliance function at Planet is responsible for the overall compliance culture at the company. We’re a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risk
• In conjunction with Planet MLRO (“MLRO”) leading training and advisory support with regards to Compliance and Financial Crime matters
• Contributing to designing, implementing, and maintaining internal compliance manuals, policies, procedures, and systems for combating money laundering and terrorism financing
• Supporting the MLRO in ensuring Planet complies with its regulatory and legal responsibilities, including FCA Guidance and industry best practice
• Supporting the ongoing monitoring and resolution of AML/CFT related cases
• Assisting in responding to legal and regulatory requests
• Liaising with law enforcement agencies and other external partners
• Providing advice and guidance on AML/CFT related matters where appropriate
• Preparing Planet for independent AML/CTF and/or Compliance testing
• Deputising for the MLRO as required ensuring that any internal suspicious activity reports or other referrals are quickly assessed, documented and where appropriate reported to the relevant authorities
• Overseeing compliance first line of defense (1LOD)
• Supporting the MLRO in preparing Compliance reports, including reports to management and the Board of Planet, and other materials as required by internal stakeholders
• Assisting with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Consistent and accurate records maintenance
