Strategic Communications Partner, OpenGov

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3–6 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment
• High attention to detail, organization, and quality
• Comfortable working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS, public policy, or AI
• Background in PR, journalism, or internal communications in high-growth companies

• OpenGov is looking for a high-performing Communications Lead to join our team and partner closely with senior leadership to drive internal and external communications. You’ll support the voice and narrative of our CEO and executive team, and shape how we show up as a company—both inside OpenGov and to the outside world
• Draft speeches, memos, blogs, internal updates, and external thought leadership that support the CEO and broader executive team
• Write compelling content for company-wide meetings, onboarding programs, and cross-functional updates
• Help script or coordinate podcasts, panels, and media appearances
• Support the creation and refinement of internal narratives about company strategy, vision, and values
• Partner with Marketing and Brand teams to ensure alignment in tone, messaging, and positioning across channels
• Contribute to key communication touchpoints for employees, prospects, customers, and investors
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (People, Marketing, Chief of Staff) to develop communications plans that drive clarity and engagement
• Manage a pipeline of projects and editorial timelines
• Work with discretion and integrity on sensitive or high-visibility material
