Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of sales experience at a BtoB SaaS company
- Mid-Market experience: You’re used to closing 4 figure deals
- High quota: You've held a +600K ARR quota in your current / previous roles
- Top performer: You have a track record of being in the top 10% of your sales team
- Highly tech-savvy: You’ve sold to highly technical stakeholders (IT operations, devops, secops, software engineers) and/or know how to code and/or have an engineering background
- Entrepreneurial mindset: You spot opportunities for growth, suggest a plan to address them, and execute it. You’re able to work independently without a ton of established structure or processes
- Hunter mindset: You have a proven track record in outbound sales
- Bonus points: You have experience with open source, developer tools, PLG companies and/or startups at Series A-C stage. You have sold to cybersecurity teams and leaders
- Language: 🇩🇪 German and 🇬🇧 English fluent (the company language is English, do not send a German CV!)
- Location: Based in Europe
What the job involves
- We are looking for a driven Account Executive with a strong entrepreneurial mindset to reinforce our team of 6 AEs (3 mid-market) selling our Enterprise plans
- You will be reporting in the first couple months directly to Ben, our VP Sales, then to a Senior Sales Manager
- SALES CYCLE: You’ll own the full sales cycle (2-5 months average) from opportunity detection to drafting compelling offers
- INBOUND (70-80%): You drive and optimize the pipeline of inbound, product-qualified leads for n8n's self-hosted Enterprise plans (Company size: under 500 employees | Deal size: 20-30K ARR)
- OUTBOUND (20-30%): You relentlessly test out innovative outbound strategies to build a sustainable leads pipeline
- STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIPS: You develop and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, particularly team leaders in DevOps, engineering, and IT. Be the trusted advisor our clients turn to for workflow automation solutions
- SALES EFFICIENCY: Be proactive in developing and improving sales processes, infrastructure and collateral
- PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT: Work closely with our product team, ensuring a seamless flow of customer feedback
- Around 800 inbound leads per month
- Support from solution consultants and the product team
- Strong community: around 50% inbound leads are already product qualified

A recent trend in IT has been an increased effort to streamline workflows by improving integration between the multiple apps which people use. n8n was founded so that users can find a balance between building systems and having autonomy in their work whilst saving time through the rapid development of complex workflows.
n8n is certainly not the first to pick up on this trend - competition includes startups like Zapier, RapidAPI, and Tray.io- but n8n believes that its product is a cut above the rest of the market, offering more flexibility and robustness at a reduced price. The company also has the leading low-code automation tool in this field.
n8n's long-term approach to the market is set to be based on two key strategies, focusing efforts on its flagship platform, ensuring that it stays ahead of the competition in meeting the demand for its integration services whilst also pushing towards diversification. It plans to launch a version of its platform under a SaaS subscription model. n8n also looks to introduce a network of consulting, support and integration services, and if the company can execute this joint approach well, it will be well-set to continue pushing ahead in the market.
