Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or studying for an accounting qualification with 3 years’ experience in management accounting, financial accounting or audit
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices as well as VAT
- An interest in learning and diving deeper into various aspects of compliance and taxation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, pivots, sumifs) and accounting software, Business Central and Salesforce experience preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in German will be desired but not essential
What the job involves
- You will be working as part of euNetworks’ Management Accounting team within a friendly and diverse finance team
- In this role, you will be exposed to and responsible for all aspects of accounting and taxation across a number of jurisdictions, incl. the preparation of monthly management accounts, VAT returns and annual statutory financial statements for a number of entities in the DACH region
- This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who is looking to further or develop, their accounting career in a multifaceted role
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements under IFRS as well as local GAAP, reports, and analysis
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including general ledger entries such as accruals and prepayments as well as bank reconciliations
- Perform with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Support monthly VAT return process by analysing transactions, reconciling VAT return with GL, creating EC Sales lists and preparing Intrastat reporting and support recovering of foreign VAT
- Assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns and compliance filings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
- Assist the auditors in respect of the year end annual audit, reporting pack and annual statutory accounts
- Assist in the analysis of financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and discrepancies
- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks
- Team structure: You will be providing guidance and support to a number of departments as well as external stakeholders
- In turn you will closely work with a senior management accountant and the rest of the accounting team, the accounts payable and receivable teams as well as other senior members of the finance team
