Company mission
To offer the best electric vehicle charging experience for everyone involved in the shift to electric mobility.
Role
Who you are
- 12 years of product management experience, with a strong focus on software products — ideally in fleet management, telematics, mobility, energy management, or adjacent SaaS platforms
- Demonstrated ability to manage and evolve existing software platforms while simultaneously defining new products from the ground up
- Experience working with fleet operators, commercial vehicle customers, or logistics companies preferred
- Strong technical fluency — able to engage meaningfully with engineering teams on software architecture, APIs, and data pipelines without needing to write code
- Customer-obsessed and data-driven, with experience translating qualitative customer insight and quantitative data into prioritized product decisions
- Intellectually curious, analytical, creative, collaborative, and a strategic thinker who can work effectively as an individual contributor in a matrixed organization
- Strong communication skills — able to translate complex technical and commercial concepts into clear, structured narratives for diverse stakeholders
- Based in North America
What the job involves
- Reports To Senior Director, Data and Product Management
- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for ChargePoint's fleet software platforms — including ViriCiti (telematics and fleet management) and new platforms being developed for truck fleets and autonomous vehicle operators
- Drive the evolution of existing platforms: identify gaps in the current customer experience, prioritize improvements, and ensure the platform continues to meet the needs of today's fleet operators while scaling for future growth
- Define and build net-new software products for emerging fleet segments, including purpose-built solutions for commercial truck charging management and autonomous vehicle fleet operations
- Translate customer needs, market trends, and business priorities into clear product requirements, user stories, and success metrics — working closely with engineering and design to ship high-quality software
- Partner with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, customer success, and data science to align on market opportunities, support go-to-market execution, and drive adoption of fleet software solutions
- Engage directly with fleet customers and prospects to deeply understand their workflows, pain points, and evolving software needs — bringing the voice of the customer into every product decision
- Communicate product vision, progress, and trade-offs clearly to a wide array of stakeholders, from engineering teams to executive leadership
- ChargePoint is seeking a Staff Product Manager, Fleet Software to own the software product strategy and roadmap for our fleet vertical
- Reporting to the Senior Director, Product, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of ChargePoint's fleet software platforms in North America and Europe — from maintaining and evolving our existing solutions such as ViriCiti to defining and building new platforms for emerging segments including truck and autonomous vehicle fleets
- This is an individual contributor role in which you will operate as a hands-on product leader, partnering closely with engineering, design, data, and go-to-market teams to ship software that fleet operators love
Our take
Electric vehicles are predicted to account for nearly 30% of new vehicle sales by 2025, which means the need for EV charging infrastructure is on the rise. ChargePoint supplies just such infrastructure, with hardware, software and mobile solutions for "every charging need".
Boasting the world’s largest EV charging network, the company also provides complimentary services for drivers, businesses and fleets. These include, for example, a mobile app for finding and paying for charging, and project management tools for making the switch to EVs.
Having already established a strong presence in the lucrative and expanding EV charging market, ChargePoint is well-positioned to support the electric mobility revolution. It serves a range of clients across North America and Europe, including Wells Fargo, with which it partnered to create financing solutions for EV infrastructure. November 2025 saw funds secured that will support its goal of reaching profitability in the near future.
