Who you are
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from MSc Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical degree program
- Interested and enthusiastic about NLP
- Proactive, communicative and excited to work in a small team
- Experience with Python and related ML frameworks is a plus
What the job involves
- Job type: Internship (3-6 months)
- At Send AI we’re looking for an intern who’s excited to learn and contribute to real machine learning projects. You’ll work closely with our ML team on improving how we train, evaluate, and deploy models used in our document processing platform
- You’ll get hands-on experience with transformer-based models like BERT, as well as the latest large language models such as GPT-style architectures
- This is a practical, research-driven internship where you’ll help turn promising models into reliable, production-ready systems. Since we’re a small team, your contributions will matter from day one
- Work with real business documents to understand practical AI implementation challenges
- Implement techniques to enhance document data for training machine learning models
- Test and optimise model performance for different types of document extraction tasks
- Gain hands-on experience with a range of models from specialised extractors to generative AI
- Provide a positive impact to our production systems
Our take
Send AI is tackling the traditionally lengthy ways in which business documents are processed, with an AI-powered document processing platform. Through the platform, users can easily parse, classify, extract, validate, and export data from documents, significantly reducing handling costs.
One impressive feature of the platform is its scan-to-text tool, which leverages Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to quickly convert any scan into text. This feature helps to produce results in a fraction of the time.
In early 2024, Send AI raised a substantial funding round that will be used to accelerate the development of its AI models and expand into international markets. The company already boasts a strong roster of clients including alan, AXA and Etos, and with a wealth of applications across industries it has the chance to secure many more.
