- Experience recruiting and ramping early in career Solution Consultants
- Expertise level knowledge of Enterprise software systems
- Experience managing first line managers is strongly preferred
- Experience ramping earlier in career individual contributors is strongly preferred
- Experience working under pressure and working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven experience driving operational excellence and demonstrate proficiencies in strategic management
- Ability to collaborate and interact at multiple levels (other Presales Directors, presales managers, regional sales directors, regional vice-presidents)
What the job involves
- As a member of our diverse and skilled North America Solution Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to communicate and demonstrate the power of Workday's applications to prospects and customers alike
- Along with working closely with our sales counterparts, this team also sits at the exciting intersection of our Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Value Management teams, providing exposure to various areas of the business
- At Workday, Solution Consulting Leaders are responsible for partnering with the Sales teams and delivering product demonstrations to business users including the offices of the FP&A to highlight the value of Workday's platform as a true business decision making solution
- This Solution Consulting Director will be responsible for leading a team, establishing processes for working with Sales, establishing a new set of best practices for ramping Presales Solution Consultants, celebrating wins, learning from setbacks, and creating a feedback loop that builds an outstanding organization
- Solution Consultants are involved throughout the sales cycle from initial qualification, discovery through tailored product demonstrations, deep dives and including executive level presentations
- You will act as a trusted adviser to prospects and customers and provide consultation on product capability and value

Workday is a cloud-based software vendor that provides management of workforces and finances. The company uses a single database for workforce management and financial management to offer integration and optimize business intelligence across companies. It has added to the packages and tools it offers over the years, providing analytic options that allow companies to combine third-party data with information collected by Workday.
Workday has acquired and paired up with many other companies to keep expanding its offering. In 2021, it purchased the employee feedback platform Peakon in response to the growing need for managers to be able to survey workers and collect satisfaction data without face-to-face meetings. The company has also bought and developed many financial tools and HR management tools.
The company’s goal is to provide end-to-end back office services and while there are other providers, such as UKG Pro and Ceridian HCM, Workday’s broad offering helps them to stand out. Though it faced a tough global market in 2023 and has shed some of its headcount, Workday has seen a 6.5% gain in value in the first quarter of 2024. It is now focusing on growth and developing the AI capabilities of its platform. .
