Who you are
- Experience in Open Source software and SaaS business models. Proficiency in Cloud and Infrastructure software is a minimum requirement
- Experience in outbound sales and management experience with a demonstrated track record of success exceeding quotas selling security, networking, and/or software solutions
- Experience leading a sales team focused on growing new business and new logos
- Strong hunter mentality: direct experience managing teams responsible for creating new demand, new customer acquisition, and sourcing new pipeline
- A winner mindset, someone who holds themselves accountable to consistent over-achievement
- Strong presentation and communications skills, competent translating technical features into business value
- Comfortable working in a highly fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned annual/quarterly goals and targets
What the job involves
- Redpanda is looking for an Account Development Representative (ADR) Manager to help build the top of the sales funnel that will help fuel our sales organization
- This team will grow our business by reaching the right people at the right companies at the right time – and then set up these valuable opportunities for our sales team to close
- This ADR Manager will inspire, engage, and lead the team of outbound ADRs to accomplish these goals. You excel in high-energy environments and relish dealing with all the challenges that growth creates
- You understand outbound sales prospecting across segments and have an eye for improving the prospecting process
- Lead, inspire, and coach a team of outbound ADRs to achieve key objectives, focusing on building a high-performing team of top talent and fostering their professional growth
- Develop and implement effective outbound prospecting strategies to generate qualified leads and opportunities for the sales team
- Monitor and analyze team performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure continuous improvement and achievement of targets
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to build regular sales campaigns and systematically improve lead qualification processes
- Establish and maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline generation, leveraging all available resources, including field sales, marketing, channel partners, and sales development to accelerate new business
- Create and manage a process for tracking and analyzing industry trends and segments to create new sources of qualified leads
- Utilize the CRM system to track activity and manage sales opportunities, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and opportunity generation
Our take
When dealing with real-time data streaming workloads, the simpler the infrastructure the better. RedPanda was developed as an alternative to the complex industry standard, Apache Kafka (which needed to be used in tandem with ZooKeeper). RedPanda’s Kafka-compatible platform increases businesses’ operational efficiency by allowing them to switch to a single platform.
Formerly known as Vectorized, the company launched the RedPanda in 2021, eventually renaming the company after the product. Its platform is already running on hundreds of thousands of machines, reliably enabling enterprises to continue to run the software that they’ve already invested in while addressing and eliminating past pain points with the status quo of data streaming infrastructures.
With funding under its belt, the company is expanding its marketing, research, and development, increasing its speed, reducing latencies, and adding features such as its RedPanda Cloud service. It is also focusing on limitless data retention, capturing the attention of developers, and resulting in the company’s substantial growth.
