Role
Who you are
- Excellent communication skills in English and able to get things done in Dutch
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in the above-mentioned tasks (additional hospitality experience is a plus)
- Available at least 32 hours per week in the office
- Not afraid to get your hands dirty!
- Physically able to lift heavy(ish) items like a full beer crate
- A resourceful team player with attention to detail
- Caring and gezellig. You care about our team and make sure Studocu HQ is a place where everyone can do their best work and thrive
- You are a very organized person who gets joy out of structure and knows where everything is
- You have enough of a sense of style that in the case you have to choose furniture for a meeting room, we don't end up naming it something like "the Ugly Rug Room". 👀
What the job involves
- Being the main point of contact for all things Facilities & Office
- Maintain Studocu HQ as an organized, clean, and safe working environment
- Own all projects related to remodelling or renovating the office space
- Collaborate with IT support to keep everything tech up to date and running smoothly
- Ensure our team members have what they need for their home office setup
- Manage the kitchen team (who keeps us nourished & happy)
- Own the process of moving to a new office (when the time comes)
- Work closely with the Events Manager to make sure the office is protected and prepared for in-office events
- Imagine this: It’s a Monday morning in the office. ☀️☕💃 You do a quick loop around the office to make sure everything is as perfect as can be. A light bulb needs to be replaced? You’re on it! Coffee machine acting weird? You’re the hero that gets it fixed! New joiners or visitors in the office? You’re a friendly face showing them around! We’re moving office soonn, so ou’re picking out new furniture and support this big project to make our new HQ awesome

Our take
High quality notes and resources are necessary at every level of education, but at times personal notes can be incomplete or missing details. The founders of Studocu have created a platform that allows students to share notes, resources and study materials, that now holds materials from universities across the world.
With millions of users every month accessing the platform, there is undeniable demand for Studocu's services. Much of the company's popularity may be ascribed to its freemium model, which keeps 85% of its content free to access. The other 15% can be accessed by students who either upload their own study materials or pay a fee.
Studocu has seen impressive investment which has enabled it to expand substantially. It also acquired Studybees, its German counterpart, to support this expansion. In 2024, Erasmus University Rotterdam filed a lawsuit against the company which will be interesting to follow, as it surrounds whether Studocu should have to proactively screen materials for copyright breaches, rather than its current report/takedown approach.
