Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of finance or related experience in a highly analytical strategy or operating role
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel and understanding of business metrics. Familiarity with 3-statement models
- Experience with company-wide or business unit planning processes, operating expense forecasting, and P&L and budget management
- Ability to eloquently distill and communicate financial data and complex topics to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience and comfortable working in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment; bonus points for experience with SaaS business models
- Experience working with senior management to help drive analysis that leads to data-drive decision making

What the job involves
- We are looking for a strategic Finance professional who is passionate about making an impact at a fast-growing company
- You will use your business insight, analytical skills, and strategic thinking to deliver insights and actionable recommendations to improve decision-making across the organization
- You will own our company model, oversee our planning & reporting cycles, and drive process excellence across our entire organization
- This is a highly visible role in the organization and reports into our CFO
- Own our company model and provide regular updates to our Executive team and board on financial performance
- Develop a strong understanding of Front's business model and translate the impact of business decisions on company performance
- Lead our consolidated Financial Planning process, including development of near-term and long-term budgets, quarterly KPI updates, and regular business reviews
- Monitor budget implementation to ensure timely commitments, and conduct rigorous variance analysis. Regularly update budgets and forecasts to guide decision-making
- Drive ongoing improvement in finance and operational workflows, increase efficiency through automation & process excellence, and proactively understand risks and opportunities to provide predictability to future performance
Our take
When a business receives an email from a customer it can set off a chain of forwarded emails across the company, an inefficient process where information (and sales!) can easily get lost. Front exists to change this, consolidating all customer communications into a single shared inbox which can be accessed by teams of any size and completely eliminates the need for internal emails.
With more companies moving to remote working and eCommerce becoming the predominant form of conducting business, Front's product has been enthusiastically received by over 8,000 companies, including Mailchimp, Shopitfy and Convoy. However it is by no means alone in this space, with huge competitors such as Google and Microsoft providing communications solutions and other internal communications tools such as Slack gaining traction. Front may have an edge here though: its unified solution also provides automated workflows, ticketing and analytical tools that are either absent or less well integrated in competing offerings.
In 2022, Front raised investments in a Series D round and achieved unicorn status with a valuation of over $1 billion. It is moving to futher develop its product and increase its market share, hiring on new talent ahead of a possible IPO in the near future. Definitely watch this space!
