5+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
Deep experience with React and Next.js
Skilled in styling modern web apps using Tailwind and component libraries like Reshaped UI
Comfortable with API integration, state management, and component-based architecture
Experience with Git, modern CI/CD workflows, and Agile development practices
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Knowledge of Node.js is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

What the job involves

We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join our growing team in New York. You’ll be part of an innovative, fast-paced engineering organization that thrives on solving complex problems and building exceptional digital experiences
This role is ideal for someone who loves turning product and design ideas into clean, maintainable code and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Architect and implement scalable, performant web applications using modern technologies
Build responsive, adaptive UI experiences that work across devices and browsers
Ensure high-quality, maintainable code through thoughtful design, testing, and code reviews
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to plan, design, and deliver new features
Optimize web applications for speed and scalability
Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure stability and user satisfaction
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices within the team
Stay current with emerging tools and frameworks and bring fresh ideas to the table

Managing our financial lives can be a challenge. From banking to investing, there are a plethora of institutions, products and services to choose from in the market.

Whilst legacy banks have traditionally been focused on a specific service within the financial industry, MoneyLion have built a full-service digital platform to deliver mobile banking, lending, and investment solutions. From their app, users can get a complete overview of their financial lives.

It is a neobank on the rise. Since its launch in 2013, MoneyLion has signed up nearly 8 million users, doubled its revenue between 2020-2021 and acquired a stake in digital asset settlement provider Zero Hash, adding crypto-based investing to their platform.

However, this is a highly competitive industry and one that in the first quarter of 2023, was highly volatile. MoneyLion also has big competition against the likes of Chime, Revolut, and RobinHood. Whilst competitive and operating within an evolving space, MoneyLion is continuing on a strong path through its marketplace strategy, matching members with partner brands and saw an increase in revenue through 2023.
