Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in field marketing in the technology or SaaS industry
  • Proven track record in delivering and optimizing demand-generation programs to meet pipeline goals
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and the buyer’s journey in enterprise environments
  • Proficiency with marketing tools such as Salesforce & Hubspot
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for events and meetings

What the job involves

  • As a Field Marketing Manager, you will lead the development and execution of regional marketing strategies to support sales goals, drive demand, and enhance brand awareness. This role requires a strategic thinker with a builder mentality that has a strong understanding of regional market dynamics and the ability to build impactful campaigns in collaboration with cross-functional teams and partners
  • Develop and execute regional field marketing plans and programs to align with sales priorities and pipeline goals
  • Plan and manage events to drive demand, accelerate pipeline, and engage customers
  • Partner with sales along with channel and alliance partners to implement account-based marketing strategies targeting high-value accounts across GenAI and Enterprise
  • Own program management, including event logistics, budget oversight, and vendor coordination
  • Analyze and report on campaign effectiveness, providing insights to optimize future initiatives
  • Leverage digital marketing strategies and tools to amplify regional activities and achieve measurable results
  • Collaborate with product marketing to align messaging and go-to-market strategies with field initiatives

Our take

As with its mathematical namesake, Baseten focuses on simplifying the complex. The San Francisco startup focuses on simplifying the integration of artificial intelligence into businesses. The tools that Baseten built demolish the need for businesses to hire specialised engineers, utilising the huge strides in artificial intelligence that we’ve seen in the last few years without adding workload to businesses.

With serious funding behind it, Baseten has grown its team by three times year-over-year over the last five years, especially across engineering and marketing. Having hired talent from companies such as GitHub, Google, Uber, Amazon, and Palantir, part of Baseten's focus is on helping companies implement the tools that they have at their disposal, a long-overlooked aspect of machine learning that many businesses have been eager to champion, but uncertain on how to actually use.

Simplifying the complex world of artificial intelligence for business is no mean feat but the three founders, who met whilst working as engineers at Gumroad, have a lot of experience in how to navigate this gap in the market.
