Who you are
- If you're someone who loves solving infrastructure challenges, automating everything, and collaborating with developers to ship faster and safer, we’d love to hear from you
- Strong experience with Azure cloud infrastructure in a production environment
- Solid knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools
- Well-versed in the principles of cloud security, with a practical mindset toward secure infrastructure design
- Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously with distributed teams
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn and share knowledge
- 5–7+ years of relevant experience in DevOps/SRE or similar roles
What the job involves
- At Degreed, we’re on a journey to modernize and scale our platform—and we’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who thrives in Azure environments and brings hands-on experience with Terraform
- This is a high-impact role where you’ll help lead key initiatives to improve reliability, performance, and developer experience as we continue migrating toward container-based services
- Lead and contribute to Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform
- Help define and improve our cloud infrastructure on Azure
- Work closely with engineering teams to streamline deployments and build robust CI/CD pipelines
- Support our shift toward containerization (e.g. Kubernetes)
- Collaborate with teams across the business to support growth, scalability, and automation
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support uptime and stability
