Who you are
- Currently pursuing or have completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- Based in or available to work in New York City
- Genuinely curious about culture, creators, and what makes a brand resonate
- Proficient in AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.) and uses them as a core part of your workflow, not just occasionally
- Strong writer with a good eye for what looks and sounds right
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple projects without dropping the ball
- A bias for action — you'd rather try something and iterate than wait for perfect instructions

- This internship is for someone who wants to do real work. You'll be embedded in the Brand team, working across influencer, events, social, and campaigns from day one
- Support influencer campaigns end-to-end, from research and outreach to gifting logistics and content tracking
- Help plan and execute brand events and activations, including influencer events, product experiences, and pop-ups
- Assist in developing and producing brand campaigns, contributing ideas and helping bring them to life across channels
- Draft and schedule social content, monitor performance, and flag trends worth acting on
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, draft copy, build decks, and streamline creative workflows
- Track and maintain reporting across influencer and PR activity
- Paid internship with the opportunity to extend or transition to a full-time role after 3 months
- Real ownership of projects from start to finish
- Work alongside a sharp, fast-moving brand team on launches that actually matter
Our take
The last decade has seen a major uptick in the number of start-ups and companies dedicated to supporting consumers to build good health habits, typically around food and fitness. That enthusiasm is now quite rightly being extended to how we sleep.
Eight Sleep makes “smart” mattresses and mattress covers (for regular mattresses) that use machine learning and other artificial intelligence-based algorithms to improve your sleep both by changing temperature and monitoring other physical parameters to provide an overall picture of your health.
The company is focused on two levers for growth; building out more technology through additional products and acquisitions, and expanding internationally. It's seeing great success too, having recently raised $50M, brining its valuation up to $1.5B.
