Role
Who you are
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in delivering working software, preferably web applications
- Have strong communication skills and be a positive team player with a solution-oriented mindset
- Strong knowledge of immutability concepts, CSS, and responsive design
- Strong knowledge of A/B testing concepts, feature flags and analytics development
- Strong debugging and performance optimization experience
- Have experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Have experience using Source Control (Git)
- Write clean, well-tested code
- Be familiar with at least one mature MV* framework
- Stay informed of emerging technological trends and methodologies and propose new processes and technologies to the team
- Have experience with server side related technologies (NextJS)
- Have experience and good understanding of engineering best practices related to SEO
- Prior hands-on experience with backend technology stacks
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. Postgres, Redis)
- Experience with Golang/NodeJS

What the job involves
- Fubo is looking for an exceptional Front End Web Engineer with a passion for crafting simple systems that solve complex problems
- As a member of the Growth organization, you will work on optimizing the user journey from the very first visit on a landing page to completing the purchase funnel, as well as all account management related features with a talented team consisting of designers, product and engineers
- You will directly contribute to driving new levels of growth for our customer base and business success through consistent innovation, ideation, rapid experimentation and data-driven development
- Additionally, within our dynamic environment, we encourage engineers to explore and expand their skill set
- Our growth engineering team is also involved in backend technologies, and engineers joining us will have the opportunity to learn and collaborate on backend projects, enriching their knowledge and contributing to our comprehensive approach to development
- We are looking for Software Engineers who are HIGHLY motivated to have product input, participate in product discovery and ideation sessions and more than anything else, have an innate curiosity for everything that makes a great tech product customers love
- Architect, design, develop, test, maintain and improve software systems
- Collaborate with other engineers and members of the fuboTV team to determine priorities and best practices, and refine functional requirements

- 3) Panel-Style Interview: The third and typically final stage of the interview process is a panel-style interview. It’s two-to-five hours, either virtually or in person, and a great chance to meet various team members you will work with closely

Our take
Fubo is a live sports streaming service that operates in the United States, Canada, France and Spain. It differentiates itself from other sports braodcasters as sitting at the intersection between traditional cable and streaming, positioning itself as a must-have media provider for sports fans, with an internally-built tech stack allowing for instant replays and live interaction with sporting events.
While its core offering has always been in sports, Fubo built up a strong entertainment service, carrying content from numerous other networks and studios. Following its 2020 IPO its stocks rose sharply as a serious contender against older streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu. By the end of 2022 it had an audience of 1.5 million North American subscribers and over $1 billion in annual global revenue.
Despite its strong growth the company has entered a difficult period. Beginning to lose the market share it had taken from its competitors, it is also reducing its entertainment services and withdrawing from the sports betting market with knock-on effects for its share prices. While still a popular service (research from TVision shows ads on Fubo Captured 35% More Attention Than Ads on CTV in General), it remains to be seen if sports fans (and investors) will stay with Fubo in the longer term, especially if it can't thread the needle of profitability in an environment of rising costs and intense competition.
