Role
Who you are
- Four (4) years or more of related experience and/or training in client management and/or sales, inclusive of internships. More in-depth experience is a plus
- Past history of playing or working in collegiate, minor league or professional sports and entertainment preferred
- Professional and client-facing
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with an ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Proven and demonstrated record of accomplishment in providing exceptional client service, sound business judgment and generating effective solutions quickly; preferably in a high end or high profile environment
- Must be creative, well organized, possess a strong work ethic with interpersonal communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Ability to build internal and external relationships with a collaborative problem solving approach, professional presentation style and an outgoing friendly demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours, travel from time to time for client on-sites and tradeshows, including some weekends and evenings
- Bachelor's degree. Master’s Degree a plus
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Customer Activation Manager responsible for the fulfillment and execution of new customer contracts for DUST Identity, reporting to the Director of Sales
- The Manager is also responsible for management and oversight of DUST Identity’s Sales Enablement tools and CRM system, joining prospective client calls as needed
- The manager will ensure contractual obligations to customers are delivered and executed successfully, and strive to over-deliver against expectations while protecting the value of DUST Identity assets
- The Manager will contribute to the growth of the Revenue Organization through superior customer service, excellent interpersonal skills, and continuously upholding a strong team player attitude
- Serving as point of contact for assigned customers to oversee the execution of contractual agreements and initiatives including customer onboarding, initial hardware and material shipments, customer replenishments, providing product update templates, etc
- Assist in creation and delivery of various materials by analyzing the needs of the customer including, but not limited to: internal customer execution plans, internal sales reports, client meeting recaps, client presentations, sales demo materials, etc
- Proactively manage the renewal cycle for all assigned accounts, ensuring timely and accurate notification of pending renewal event, use of required contracts (order forms, MSA’s), use of application (quoting, forecasting), as well as coordination of resources (Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations)
- Develop high-level relationships with clients through exceptional customer service and ongoing cadence reviews
- Serving as internal client representative on behalf of assigned clients to ensure strategic objectives are met
- Collaborating with internal departments and external partners on behalf of clients to ensure success of client related initiatives and assigned projects, utilizing independent judgment and discretion where necessary
- Provide recommendations on maximizing use across client enterprises, activation ideas, up-sell opportunities and insight on client renewal strategies
- Performing other duties as assigned
Our take
Trust is in short supply these days, and while there is a lot of focus on online and financial fraud, physical goods are also vulnerable. The automobile, medical devices, collectibles and luxury goods markets are prone to supply chain failures, counterfeiting, dangerous recalls and security failures, largely caused by a lack of product transparency - how and where products source their components. DUST Identity aims to restore this transparency with a physical solution: a layer of diamond dust that uniquely identifies an item and proves that it hasn't been tampered with.
While this solution may seem expensive since it uses diamonds, it is cheaper than might be expected as the diamonds are sourced from industrial waste. Once applied to an object the orientation of the diamonds is scanned, producing a digital tag that allows that item to be tracked and verified throughout its life cycle. Readily scannable and rugged enough for military applications, this solution is more efficient and reliable than older methods of authentication.
DUST Identity is backed by investment from Airbus and Lockheed Martin, the latter of which has recently made use of DUST Identity's solution as part of its digital transformation efforts. As companies focus more on their supply chains, demand for its product is rising, and DUST Identity is in a strong position to grow its market share going forward.
