Who you are
- We are looking for an individual who is passionate about a career in sales
- 7+ years' experience in similar functions, including complex enterprise level solution sales experience
- 5+ years' experience working with large, global software customers
- Strong experience leading and driving opportunities from conception to close, working cross-functionally across the organization
- Strong consultative sales expertise and negotiation skills; the ability to take a medium-to-long term approach with a set of highly strategic clients
- Comfort with technical concepts and the ability to discuss opportunities with business and technology stakeholders
- Excellent phone, writing and presentation skills
- Validated success in achieving sales targets year over year
- Experience developing and reporting on a sales pipeline
- Ability to work as part of a team rather than as a “lone operator”
- Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder and relationship management, influence, and gaining credibility
- Strong communicator who can speak and write clearly and effectively with all contacts, both in and outside Thomson Reuters
- Highly entrepreneurial and ability to work across multiple teams/parts of the organization
- Ability to successfully lead in an agile environment
- Builds effective relationships and partners with others to develop joint solutions
- Ability to effectively navigate and perform in dynamic environments
What the job involves
- We currently have a need for a Sr Sales Executive within our Global Accounts team
- This is an enterprise sales position where the selected candidate will be focused on driving business objectives to obtain commercial targets within defined commercial accounts
- While working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, you will be challenged with proactively searching for leads and generating sales to help continue to develop this fast-growing business unit. This is a team-oriented group that promotes innovative thought and idea sharing
- Selling legal software solutions including HighQ, Contract Express, Tracker, CoCounsel Drafting, Document Intelligence, and CoCounsel Core into the Global 7 Accounting Firms
- Finding new sales opportunities through a deep understanding of both each client’s business and the propositions that Thomson Reuters offers
- Working with the Global Client Director for each account to contribute towards the account strategy
- Prospect to potential clients, presenting a business case for our products that fits with each client’s needs
- Respond to Prospect RFIs and RFPs
- Schedule and conduct product demonstrations; team with solutions consultants and the global account team to present a combination of deep product knowledge and broad knowledge of the client relationship
- Maintain a working knowledge of company products, special sales programs and marketing efforts within the business
- Cultivate relationships with key business owners, technology teams and end users at each firm to develop leads
- Negotiate sales contracts
- Delivery of target sales objectives for the sub-segment; growth through cross-sell/up-sell
- Proactive communication with the broader team; transparency in all contacts with each client in order to benefit the entire account team
- Accurate forecasting of revenue, and unit targets; consistent updates of all CRM systems / reporting on market and competitor activities
- Presentations across internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
- Build and maintain strategic account plans for key target customers
