Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or data science
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the information technology and services industry
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with complex data sets
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, R, or Python
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable insights
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Desirable
- Knowledge, appreciation, or passion of the advances in higher educational software, course materials, and digital publishing is a plus
- Comfort and/or experience in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Ideal candidate is self-sufficient and highly motivated, self-directed and possess high energy and a passion for RedShelf
What the job involves
- The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to develop insights and recommendations that will inform business decisions
- They will work closely with various stakeholders to identify data needs and develop solutions to address those needs
- This role is currently set as a hybrid role, with workdays set as Monday through Thursday with the expectation to be onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data needs and develop solutions to address them
- Conduct analysis on complex data sets using analytical tools and techniques
- Develop and maintain data models to support business objectives
- Identify trends and patterns in data to support decision making
- Develop and communicate insights and recommendations based on analysis
- Present data findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
- Stay up-to-date on the latest analytical tools, techniques, and best practices to ensure our analysis is cutting-edge
