Who you are
- This role requires a creative, strategic thinker with experience in digital marketing, SEO, and content strategy who can produce and oversee engaging, high-quality content
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or similar roles
- Proven experience developing content strategies and managing content calendars
- Insurance industry experience is ideal, but not required
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Strong understanding of SEO, keyword research, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs)
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and social media tools is ideal
- Ability to analyze content performance data and make data-driven decisions
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
What the job involves
- The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating, improving, and maintaining content across multiple channels to support the organization’s marketing and business goals
- The Content Marketing Manager will lead content planning, creation, and distribution, ensuring it aligns with brand voice, boosts audience engagement, and drives measurable results
- Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with the company’s goals and target audience
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and shape the content calendar
- Conduct regular content audits and gap analysis to enhance content offerings
- Oversee all written, visual, and multimedia content production for various channels (blogs, social media, emails, website, etc.)
- Collaborate with writers, designers, and video producers to create high-quality content
- Ensure content consistency, brand alignment, and compliance with style and tone guidelines
- Implement SEO best practices to drive organic search traffic
- Monitor content performance and adjust strategies based on data insights
- Work with the analytics team to track content KPIs, including traffic, engagement, and conversion rates
- Manage content distribution to drive traffic and engagement on social media, email marketing, and other channels
- Collaborate with social media, email, and product marketing teams to coordinate messaging and optimize content performance
- Develop and manage partnerships for content syndication and co-marketing opportunities
- Lead and mentor a team of content creators, freelancers, and/or contractors as needed
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and product teams, to ensure alignment on content goals and messaging
- Drive a collaborative content creation process from ideation to publication
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, audience preferences, and best practices in content marketing
- Identify new formats and technologies that can enhance the content experience and engage the audience
Our take
With many real estate insurers relying on a generalised approach, homeowners and landlords often have to pick up the slack when it comes to complex and serious claims. Plus, insuring properties against rising costs in the US means many insurers simply won't cover a large portion of homes.
Honeycomb Insurance aims to remedy these real estate coverage issues using AI and computer vision to quantify insurance claim costs. It analyses aerial photographs of building roofs and street-level shots to analyse quality and risk, thus removing the need for expensive physical inspections. This means the company can accurately underwrite risks in a fraction of the time, and deliver a better service to more consumers.
The value of this offering is showcased by Honeycomb's expansion to operate across 16 states. It now covers around 60% of the US market and has over $20 billion in assets under its belt. A substantial Series B round in 2024 will help it grow into new insurance markets and accelerate its AI-powered tech, as it aims to triple this asset value by 2025.
