Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of relevant experience. That might be in software implementation, solutions or sales engineering, product enablement, technology consulting, or another relevant function
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at a range of seniority levels
- Proficiency in Python. You'll be working with dataframes, JSON files, RESTful APIs, Snowflake databases, and more - mostly via Jupyter Notebooks in VSCode. You won't be building production software, but will be analyzing large volumes of data and developing POCs
- An ability to "figure it out" - our team members use ChatGPT, tutorials, and other resources to learn new skills daily
- Strong technical curiosity and eagerness to grow expertise in AI and scalable product solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience translating business needs into technical outcomes
- Self-motivated and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
- Experience in HR tech is a plus
What the job involves
- Reports To: Director of Data & AI Product
- Partners With: Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Growth teams
- Own end-to-end enterprise implementations of our AI platform: gather requirements, develop POCs, lead onboarding, and drive customer value from initial setup to launch and beyond
- Be the primary technical and product partner for a select group of high-value customers, ensuring their success while advocating for their needs internally
- Serve as the voice of the customer to the product team, helping to shape our roadmap and create features that solve real-world hiring and talent matching challenges
- Support the sales process by developing prototypes and demonstrating product value in high-stakes client conversations
- Innovate and document processes that make future implementations easier, faster, and more impactful
- Build hands-on expertise with production-grade AI systems, gaining experience with APIs, data integration, and real-world model deployment
Our take
Talent identification and acquisition has always been a challenge for HR teams, but the labor shortage is making it more difficult than ever. The founders of AdeptID believe that poor talent matching is a billion-dollar problem, and they’re aiming to address it with its machine-learning-powered API.
While there’s no shortage of talent search and matching platforms, from LinkedIn to Zoho Recruit, AdeptID sets itself apart by providing an API which plugs into existing infrastructure. Another interesting aspect of AdeptID’s approach is how its ML tech focuses on lesser-explored talent avenues, particularly candidates who don’t hold degrees and might otherwise be filtered out in other talent searches.
Having only launched in 2020, AdeptID's bootstrapped first year brought in an encouraging $1 million. Since then, it's been backed by Zeal Capital Partners, and the company has been scaling operations in the last couple of years. It is also a certified B-corp, and in 2023, partnered with OneTen to improve hiring outcomes for black talent in the US.
