Our take
As the world becomes more conscious of its environmental impact, it is vital that big businesses are held accountable for their global emissions. Alongside this, there are phenomenal advancements in technology which provide the ability to monitor the transition from harmful energy sources to greener alternatives.
Kayrros is a geo-analytics company that uses satellite imagery and other alternative data technologies to monitor all physical assets in the global energy, natural resource and industrial sectors. The company aims to provide energy and industrial corporations with the data tools they need to optimize operations, and in turn, tackle the climate challenge. Kayrros seeks to utilise this market data to provide unique solutions and customer-specific product offerings.
This use of data will enable companies to navigate the energy transition and keep ahead of the fast-changing markets, with the company already assisting multiple operators and governments to make better informed environmental decisions. As the global drive towards sustainability intensifies, Kayrros is well positioned to continue to expand and develop its customer base.

Antoine Rostand
(Co-Founder & President)Antoine is a graduate of the French Ecole Polytechnique engineering school, and holds an MBA from INSEAD. Prior to co-founding Kayrros, Antoine was president and founder of the Schlumberger Energy Institute, Antoine was also president and founder of Schlumberger Business Consulting, SBC. Preceding his time at SBC, Antoine managed the European businesses of the Consulting and System Integration arm of SchlumbergerSema. From 1999 to 2002 Antoine was president of Electronic Data Systems in France.

(Co-Founder)Directs the global oil markets programme at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy. Former chief oil analyst of the International Energy Agency and former lead industry economist at the US Energy Information Administration, part of the US Department of Energy.
Jean-Michel Lasry
(Co-Founder)Quantitative finance theoretician with extensive business experience. Professor at Paris-Dauphine University and co-founder, and CEO, of MFG Labs. Worked as head of the quantitative team at BNP Paribas.
Laurent El Ghaoui
(Co-Founder)Professor of electrical engineering and computer sciences at UC Berkeley, and holds a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford, as well as an MsC from the Ecole Polytechnique. Also worked as a quantitative analyst for the hedge fund SAC Capital Management.
Alexandre D'Aspremont
(Co-Founder)Holds PhDs from both Stanford University and Ecole Polytechnique, and is the scientific director of the MASH machine learning MSc at ENS & Université Paris Dauphine. Is a CNRS senior researcher and professor in the computer science department at Ecole Normale Superieure.
