What the job involves
- Reporting to John Beauchamp, Chief Revenue Officer - Americas Enterprise, the Technical Advisor will play a key role in driving AMER Sales’ most critical initiatives with efficiency and speed
- You will contribute to projects and programs that shape the future of AMER Sales at Stripe
- With the ability to influence from a strategic and administrative perspective, you will be instrumental in executing key cross-org initiatives and helping us move from strategy to execution while ensuring operational excellence
- If you are energized by new user acquisition, go to market strategy, driving revenue generation, building relationships with executive stakeholders, and engaging with cross functional teams to drive and iterate Stripe’s strategy, then we want to hear from you!
- Assist with kicking off, fixing, and or taking on time sensitive projects and programs
- Attend planning and review meetings with, or in lieu of, John Beauchamp
- Review and orchestrate processes and communications across multiple sales teams
- Interface and consult regularly with internal cross-functional teams
- Coordinate background for meetings with key partners (e.g., identify goals and talking points, provide background on attendees, analyze the current business relationship, etc.) and ensure prep is ready
- Drive insights and efficiencies in how we execute to achieve our goals
- Stay up to date on changes and trends related to the business across GTM and Product
- Develop a network of internal and external resources to expedite deal management
Our take
Stripe, nowadays a FinTech giant, spent the first few years since its founding building up its payments business, which primarily consisted of providing an API to eCommerce businesses so that they could easily integrate a payment option in their apps or websites, where before there was none.
More recently, Stripe has started to accelerate its growth with a significantly larger range of financial services including cash advances and credit cards. They also plan to build incorporation services, fraud protection, and more, diversifying its revenue away from payments and differentiating itself from its competitors.
To further expand its position, the company is extending its services to countries with vast customer potential, including Brazil, Japan and India. It is also partnering with OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT - a win-win collaboration that is monetising OpenAI’s flagship products and at the same time enhancing Stripe with GPT-4, as it moves forward with intentions to "build the payments foundation for tomorrow's AI economy."
