What the job involves
- Reporting to: Head of Marketing
- Liaison to: Chief Sales Officer, Finance
- We are looking for a Revenue Operations Manager to transition us from ‘rapid-scale agility’ to ‘enterprise-level excellence.’ You will be the architect of our commercial tech stack, ensuring that every lead, data point, and automated process is optimized to hit our revenue goals
- This is not a maintenance role; it is a role for a builder who wants to own the technical roadmap of a global business
- Ownership of the stack: Full administrative ownership of the HubSpot-Salesforce integration. You aren’t just "fixing" sync errors; you are optimising the flow of data to ensure Sales and Marketing work as one unit
- Workflow governance: Audit and rationalise our workflows and processes. You will be responsible for simplifying the complex and ensuring our automation is scalable, not fragile
- Tech stack ROI: Manage the commercial stack. You will evaluate new tools and ensure our current stack delivers maximum ROI
- The source of truth: Define and enforce the data governance framework. You ensure we are GDPR-compliant, audit-ready for our parent company, and that our data hygiene is impeccable
- Attribution and reporting: Design and build the dashboards that translate technical activity into business outcomes. You will provide the leadership team with the leading indicators needed to forecast our revenue goals
- Parent company coordination: Act as the technical lead for our integration with the parent company's systems as they evolve. Sales enablement: Empower our sales team by building seamless processes in our tools. You take the technical friction out of their day so they can focus on closing
- Knowledge management: Transform ‘tribal knowledge’ into agreed playbooks. You will build the documentation and training infrastructure so the system is no longer dependent on any one individual
Our take
Our changing climate poses an increasing risk to us all. Extreme weather events like flooding are a cause for anxiety across the globe including in rain-stricken U.K. One set of commercial concerns from these climate events are from insurers that are attempting to recalibrate underwriting models to deal with changing flood and other climate risks.
Fathom is part of a crop of flood risk modelling services that exist to aid insurers in this task. However, Fathom’s UK model is the first of its kind to factor in multiple climate change scenarios to predict the impact of flooding in the future, rather than relying solely on historic records.
The company is proving out its best-in-class ability to appreciate flood risk for its commercial clients. Now, it is expanding its offering to be fit for national and regional economies across the globe.
Fathom’s partnership with Reask is a boost to its commercial viability. While the company’s core offering is obviously cutting-edge, for the startup to achieve its goals for growth it will have to embed its offering into the workflows of risk management teams. Partnerships like these with risk analytics providers should greatly help in this regard.
