- 8+ years of B2B enterprise tech writing experience

What the job involves
- Provide you with a unique opportunity to develop content that makes organizations take note of Expel and creates real business impact
- Grow your personal cyber knowledge by providing access to an expert team of SOC analysts, detection and response engineers, solutions architects, and more
- Grow your marketing skills through working with a highly energized, collaborative, creative marketing team
- Provide you space to try new things and create content that get noticed
- Develop, write, and edit technical marketing content including thought leadership and how-to blogs, threat reports, data sheets, and more to drive awareness and demonstrate thought leadership
- Interview security experts from across the business and translate their messages and ideas into compelling content pieces for primarily technical (but occasionally non-technical) audiences
- Work cross-functionally with security, engineering, product, product marketing, and other teams to ensure messages are well represented
- Because, as a managed detection and response (MDR) provider, our internal cyber experts are our strength
- Make sure content is SEO-friendly as applicable and adheres to in-house style guide
- And we’re searching for a technical content writer that can serve as the proverbial mouthpiece for those internal authorities, crafting content that amplifies their expertise, appeals to other cyber practitioners, and elevates our brand as a well-known, trusted vendor
Our take
As ransomware and hacking threats rise, identifying and resolving breaches in security must be done quickly. Lack of transparency in cyber-security makes it difficult for engineers to detect, understand, and fix the issues as fast as possible. Expel is aiming to redefine what a security operations center and managed detection service looks like in the modern age.
Though the company faces competition from the vast number of cybersecurity platforms, Expel positions itself as a viable alternative to the service delivery model of managed security service providers (MSSPs) by offering a comprehensive management platform that connects to its customers’ tech remotely through APIs, providing fast detection and clear solutions.
Having reached unicorn status, the company is establishing more of a presence in the European and Asia-Pacific markets, capturing business in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Singapore. Its most recent funding will be used to accelerate sustainable growth and continue its international expansion, as well as push forward with go-to-market initiatives.
