Strong proficiency in TypeScript / HTML / CSS
Experience with Vue or React
Experience working on SPAs
Experience with GraphQL APIs
Experience with Testing (Unit and integration testing (e.g., Vitest, Jest, Cypress)

Experience with Web Components
Experience with Mapping/Geospatial Libraries – e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, or CesiumJS (could be useful for visualizing satellite data)
Interest in Space or Aerospace – No prior experience is required, but enthusiasm for space technology is a bonus!
UI/UX sensibility (no need to be a designer, just to care about that)

What the job involves

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Loft Orbital, you will work on a range of projects, including refining the UI of Cockpit, our satellite operations software empowering end-users with powerful satellite management capabilities
You’ll collaborate with peers on the Frontend Engineering team, as well as interface with the wider Ground Software team
Building and refining tools for satellite operations and autopilot observability
Developing and maintaining our web applications and services
Collaborating on UI/UX design to enhance user experience (no need to be a designer, just care about good UX)
Integrating with backend services using GraphQL APIs
Supporting internal teams in using our ground software (Cockpit)
Getting hands-on with satellite operations—everyone at Loft plays a role in mission success!
